Now this is just ridiculous, even for yankee neocons: Mein Kampf wasn't that harmful--hardly anyone actually read it--and The Kinsey Report practically created the field of sexuality studies.

The Feminine Mystique is one of the foundational texts of the post-war women's movement in the US and should be required reading for... well, for anyone really--Friedan is brilliant. And Keynes is widely understood to be one of the most brilliant minds in the history of economics, period. You can disagree with the guy if you like, but putting his book on this list is just evidence of rabid adherence to a particular kind of free-market ideology.

What a load of utter tripe.

"The Kinsey Report practically created the field of sexuality studies."

Yes. Exactly. Which is why it is on the list.
